Born 1929 in Arbela, Michigan raised on a farm that produced dairy and live stock. Wallace enjoyed the company of seven siblings in a time when modern creature comforts were far and between. Watching the careful hand of his fathers paintings and drawings, Wallace developed a fascination to follow in his foot steps. Showing incredible progress with the limited art programs available to him in schooling. There came a time while serving two years in the Marine Corp that Wallace experienced the fatigue of not knowing what to do with the free time given to him in the service. Wallace is truly self taught and self inspired artist with the canny ability to recall years later, moments and scenery that he had seen before and able to translate those to canvas.
